    You really think IP bans are a good idea ? What about people who don't have a static IP ?

    EDIT: I'm not defending this guy in any way but I just wanted to argue the use of IP bans.

    Would an IP ban for somewhere like a college, place of work etc mean that no-one from the same place would be able to access the forum? Just curious...

    They are a last resort and we ARE aware of the limitations and thes are taken into consideration as part of the decision making.
