U2 are so much better than both
He came dancing across the water
    With his galleons and guns
    Looking for the new world
In that palace in the sun
    On the shore lay Montezuma
With his cocoa leaves and pearls

U2 blows. If I saw Bono walking down the street, I'd punch him in the kidneys, and then drop kick his face.

The Stones are way better than LP, but they're not the kind of music I typically listen to (ass-kicking rock that you can drive to). So LP for me.

Ashlee Simpson is very popular these days. Doesn't change the fact she has zilch musical talent. These days, with music, its more about image rather than musical talent. Ashlee can't sing for shit but since shes a "rebellious" little girl (She dyes her hair you know and wears some awfully revealing tops) tweens idolize her and therefore she is popular.

Linkin Park can go hang out with those morons from Green Day, The Used (who the hell names themselves The Used?)

Rolling Stones blows LP to hell.
Linkin Park with Jay-Z can't lay a finger on the Stones.

U2 is ok and whoops LP's ass all over the place.

However, I'll stick to Aerosmith, Warrent, Whitesnake, Foreigner, Foghat, and the rest of what made rock what it is today....or what it was before the Punk image came in.

Ohhh, I'm sorry. You thought I was referring to the people that like LP. I guess I should've specified...people like you that think any music that isn't the music you listen to blows...ok?

Stones by a mile. U2 i have respect for, some great songs in ther long history, but the stones all the way. They have outlasted so many and are still strong, their new album is fantastic. Paint in black is still one of my favourite songs, as is brown suger. They have a distinct alure and character that still shines strong today. Pitting all three against each other in their hey day, The Stones would outperform the other two withought working up a sweat.

Stones sold more albums, playes to larger crowds, are more recognisable, even in today's generation, the poster with just the white background and red tongue is extremely popular. They possess an abundance of talent, for songwriting and on stage performing as well.

    no offense.
I found this quite a challenge, as I love 'em all. U2 wins, though.

The idea is behind rather large bands. Rolling Stones, despite being so over the hill they're now in a valley, sold out their Forty Licks tour in '02. I had the priviledge of going to see them at Twickenham. They're classic.

Linkin Park- well, some people don't like them, but they have written some truly amazing songs- Numb, In The End, Crawling...

Although they should be shot for teaming up with Jay-Z or whatever gimp rapper it was.

U2. Classic. Think Pride, Sunday Bloody Sunday, Sometimes..., and Vertigo. They are really good, people who go on about 'their early stuff was good' obviously haven't listened to a lot of their new stuff. The Best of 1990-2000 has some fabulous tracks on it. If anyone wants a recommendation list, PM me.
