Vid at the bottom of the link.
Apparently the original prototype Viper twisted the chassis so badly, they had to cut the driver out. Once they'd sorted that, it chewed up a pig-iron truck flywheel and spat it out onto the tarmac. Yes.
The Viper is a bit 'off my radar' - it's not my kind of car at all. Having said that, I do love the idealology.
Hows this good news?
The ability for outward expression is dependent on substance...
I could of swore the car has a hydroglide 2 speed in it. I only hear him shift once. Dam thats fast.
According to Car and Driver, the new Coupe is more driver friendly in handling than the Z06...but it leaves its mark on you when you get out.Originally Posted by Egg Nog

Hmm...maybe driver friendly, but apparently leaves it's "bite" on you.

I've heard heffner has tuned a few new viper V10's to 1700hp at the crank with turbos, and "only" a 250hp shot of Nitrous.

OBSESSED is a word the lazy use to describe the DEDICATED!
Care to explain? Worse than civics? My friend do not fret this car is quite a work of art. Despite the fact that you do not like Vipers, you must admit this car is quite quick. Even those who hate drag racing must admit a 7.99sec quarter mile is ridiculous.Originally Posted by man 430gt
I know a guy who sold his viper to a guy for a trade on a new z06 because it was such a nicer car. It was a 04 SRT10 btw so it must be a nice car or something.
The Corvette has evolved much more than the Viper. Kinda sad because i love the Vipers looks. The new Z06 will drive away from it for less money as mentioned already.

Do a vette up like that and it will beat that time.
Vipers are roadcourse cars. I have been to many track days with my viper and let me tell you that is where they belong. They handle great you just have to be a good driver. I have killed some of your "great handling" European cars on the track many of times including a Lotus Elise I lapped on his home track.
One thing that most of you don't know are how much Torque comes into the equation when on a road course. How nice it is to be able to power out of the corners. You guys need to do some research on vipers frankly it is embarrassing some of the crap you read on these forums.
