    Oh for the love of all things, don't get eVGA. eVGA cards seem to fry fairly easy. And don't even think about the GS, it isn't as good as GT.

    You should get a Creative Sound Blaster too.

    The guy at the custom pc shop said the 6600GS was good. It is basically the same configuration as the the custom one but for $300 less

    But just keep in mind that whatever you're getting, don't let it be eVGA. One guy I know had a eVGA 6800GT and it fried after a month of usage, considering that he didn't even overclock it. Another friend had a fried 6600GT by eVGA, short life span, no overclocking. I'd recommend something like XFX or WinFast, they're more reliable than other brands like BFG to me. BFG does have lifetime warranty, but they still do get fried quite often and sending it back is just a pain in the ass. Just do whatever that satisfies.
