As these are usually all made in the same factory in Tawian, Thailand, Singapore, China, then I can't believe you wouldn't be able to source it direct from a US distributor.

Actually, you can own a Ferrari you can drive. The only downfalls are that it has a top speed of about 11-13 MPH, your dog might eat it, and you can't fit in it. Can anyone guess what it is?

Thre are LOTS of interesting cases in the market.

If you do a search for "PC case mod" then you might find some nice ones. But it will take alot of legwork. And yes, Aria do a few, but I don't think as nice as the Enzo Special PC 'modding' web sites exist,mainly it's about performance but you usually find a section on cusotmising. ( and UNFORTUNATELY, some of it is akin to stickers and bodykits )

With new Micro-ATX and flex-ATX and ITX boards, there is LOTS of scope for having fun and doing it yourself.

Actually, you are right in it being a RC car, but the one I am talking about is the Kyosho Mini-Z MR2 chassis with the Ferrari Enzo body. It is about the size of your hand and, with the right batteries, is capable of doing 11-13 MPH. These things come ready to run minus batteries and the Radio is fully porportional (you can adjust it). There are many, many parts being built by Kyosho and aftermarket wise for this and the orginal MR1 chassis. I own two versions of the Mini-Z, the MR1 and the Overland, which is capable of going off road. Pretty amazing to see something that small go over jumps like it does.
Another good thing about the Mini-z's. You can change the bodies to nearly anything you like, from Colin McCrae's rally Focus, to a Mini Cooper, to a Ferrari F40. There is even a version for the F1 fans, called the F1, and is even faster than the MR's. You can also change their bodies from Michel Shumacher to Ralph Shumacher and back again. They are an absolute blast and good for a first timer to get started on. And, it kills time inside when it is raining. There is also the chance that your local RC track supports a Mini-Z only race, so it is a good way to begin RC Racing.
Only downfall, with any RC car, is the price. I orginally bought my MR1 for about $160 without batteries, but, these have come down substationally. I've seen the for as cheap as $89, but the newer version is as high as $160 and my Overland was just as expensive because it also just came out. Another is how small it is and the small parts it comes with, not good with very young children.
However, despite it's small size, they are very tough vechicles. Espically the Overlands, I took mine on an old slide in my backyard and, when I turned it around, went a little wide and it fell off. The fall is a little short of 5 feet, but, the only damage the Overland had was the that body popped off and the antenna was bent. Other than that, it ran like nothing happened. So, breakage is of a small concern. These little things are great and would encouage anyone intersted in RC's to buy this as their first. They are perfect for the first timer and the veteran.
