Lets assume Toyota somehow manages to kill the big 3. Doesnt that suggest more that the big 3 havent got a clue how to survive?

It isn't mayhem...and furthermore there are thousands of Toyota owners already in the NASCAR fan base so it is a smart move for Toyota....and a good thing for NASCAR and it's income/exposure.

That's not an image, that's just the sport.

That's like saying 'trying to break football's poncy image'. It's not an 'image': football IS poncy, just like NASCAR IS 'redneck'

You are right, now I wish I was the boss at Ford, I would do a much better job for Ford than Bill Ford, I love Ford, but I now that they(Ford,GM,I don't even count Chrysler) are doing some stupid things, if only the Big 2 had a take charge attitude(remember the GT40, and the Cammer engine, Ford could beat everyone if they weren't slacking off). For those that don't know about the Cammer:http://www.supermotors.org/vehicles/...sue01-a2-1.php
I'm saying they could win if they would just take charge, but I guess this will be a lesson to Ford, GM, and Chrysler. They could fail because Toyota is doing more things, while Ford puts Fusion stickers on the old Taurus Nascar and call it the new Fusion race car. And Toyota joining Nascar, and the others slacking while Toyota is on the prowl does start mayhem for me and the true loyalists to the Big Three.

He may have a point. 95-97% of NASCAR fans (This is an estimate on my behalf) lie in the U.S. I'm sure the number is huge, but then this mainly ranges in the South, diluting the number even more. Formula 1 and LeMans have fans EVERYWHERE, so that low amount of fans from each country may total to be higher than that of NASCAR. Then again, this is only a hypothesis.

Oh don't be jealous that the Daytona 500 attracts more fans then a F1 race or Lemans.
