Surely the original Panda 4x4 has to be up there.

Simple... LAMBORGHINI MURCIELAGO LP640
Ultra Fast, Very Reliable and EXTREMELY Beutiful
how do you know that? its not even out yet, and besides italian manufacturers are not renowned for reliability....Originally Posted by adperrak

Lamborghini is german controlled these days. Apart from that, I found the colour of the Geneva 640 showcar anything but impressive.Originally Posted by clutch-monkey

i thought that lamborghini themselves still made the engine and transmissions themselves, how much does the german ownership actually affect the reliability? i would have guessed that all the electronics in the modern lambo's are far better, but i wouldn't know for sureOriginally Posted by henk4

Neither would I, but taking into account that Ferrari is Italian controlled and that Italian electronics in general are still somewhat behind in terms of quality compared to German electronics (although Mercedes has proven that this is not always the case), I assume that Lambo would like to follow the german rather than the Italian exampleOriginally Posted by clutch-monkey

The cisitalia 202 this car inspired both technical and design features for the next decade to come on almost any italian car Also a great looker
(i hope my uncle really gets one,cos i cannot wait to see one again )
Love the murc, I'll go with it, great car
The German (or, more specifically, VW) ownership means much tighter engine durability regulations. I'm not sure about the Lambo, but the Veyron had to go through, and pass, the same tests as a Golf and indeed, any other car in the VAG group.
Although supercar engines are obviously far more likely to randomly go bang than a turbo diesel, I think it's safe to say they're much, MUCH better than they used to be. That and as Henk pointed out, the electronics will be sturdier, thanks to mass production and more money for development.

I'm not too knowledgeable with Maserati or I'm sure that I would have some of their cars up there too.
Some of the older cars have more mystique and naturally more 'history' but the BEST has got to be a late model car.
My vote goes to the ENZO.

Lamborghini Murcielago R-GT just look at it
Lambo has always been better for me. But I oughta give Ferrari a credit too. So both Lambo and Ferrari have my vote.
