The HUGE Ecurie Ecosse sign on the side
no guarantee but the front does have a little bit of a Connaught look to it. But I'm not that hot on the real oldies, we need henk for that I'm too young
EDIT: Bets are off It was annoyign me but the Connaught's were earlier than I was thinking and MUCH bulkier It will be the books tonight

Of course, it is actually Rod Jolley's Lister-Jaguar (Ford??) Monza, a special built for the 1958 USA-Europe race held at Monza. Here are two pics of the car, one taken last year at Silverstone, and one in 1989, when the car was still owned by somebody in Germany. Apparently another forum member was already showing keen interest in the car back then.

DAMN Beat me to it by 7 minutes
Realised it had to be a special for it not to be clear in my memory !!!!!!

    The Ford comment threw me.
It was orignally a 1 1/2 seater version of a D-type !!! Then converted to full single seater open wheel.

Here's the only reasonable moving shot I have of the car unfortunately.
