Cedric - I sound like a chipmunk on there. Some friends of mine were like, "were you going through puberty?" I was like, no I was already 20, I just sound like a girl.

Yep, It was sold in Britain as Vauxhall Nova, I cant still understand why GM needs so many different names for the same car...

Edit: The second generation was not just sold as Opel and Vauxhall, but also as Chevrolet (South America), Holden (Australia and Pacific) and Buick Sail (China)... Interesting, isn't it?

Because of the better image each of these names have in the respective markets you've mentioned.

    No shit, Sherlock!

I'd say it's about 1984-1986. IIRC, the GSi that we got over here was from 1987 onwards..?

Here the GSI was sold from 1988 onwards (with a 100bhp engine). Don't know if it's the same in the UK though...

Yes not exactly the most powerful car in the world. But if back then you wanted a fast Opel/Vauxhall you'd better have Astra/Kadett GSI. With 150bhp that was fast, and incidentally it was also launched in 1988.

I used to have a MK1 Corsa, it was kind of fun to drive. Interestingly the steering wheel was a bit in the side, maybe an inch to the right looking from the drivers seat. And it was like that intentionally, there was nothing wrong with it.
