with my box fixed my fuel economy average has gone down and i havent been over 80kph in town at all... this is a good sign
The Datto will rage again...
But with 2 tanks you still might only get 650 total.
In my car mums cars little things bug it but the big bumps that you hit it really works hard.. But i must admit going to phillip island with bluey and whiteyballz in the car we didn't have any issues with handling, I was a little concerned that it might be to hard or bounce and toss them around the place.. But they are used to hard suspensions so mine maybe felt sift to them.
The VP does 450km on a tank local They say the Ecotec is 20% better on fuel i'll give you all a race 100% highway 800km on a tank they say.
Glad your auto is up and fixed now how is the response now dropping down and getting up better?.

I could be wrong They said they were the heavy duty ones so after seeing the net and psi rates i thought that was it..
But the ride to touch is soft for 5mm then stiff as i can stand on the tow bar and it wont move.. But we got a large street next to my house that has that many bumps and dips in it we have seen holden and ford testing suspensions on it, It goes good down this road to me it doesn't seem to hard but it can lift going to fast on sharp little drops in the road... But how the ride really is on the rear maybe WhiteBallz and Sauc3 can tell you best they might have been in the rear longer then me.

My Surf only gets 450km with very gentle driving, I think mine would be the heaviest, when it comes to going round corners it doesnt inspire confidence at the limit, massive body roll and tyres wailing and usually occupants. . Need to get a Prado with a diesel 185litre tank and 11/100 on the highway, only hassle is filling it $240

Ah yes - but your car has a modified suspension so disqualifies itself. Also, you're a little more - how shall I say this? - fearless than I am.
Besides - I'm not sure that I'd be any faster in the Saab than I would be in the Fairmont, since one has to keep the driver consistent as well to truly compare.
Also, is the Saab really a tank? Its a bit small isn't it?

my 600kg of flimsily built british inadeqaucy might give you a run for your money
but if you get disallowed for non-standard suspension i could be screwed as well - to be fair everything original in the mini's should never have been considered worthy for use in an automobile.
what have i got then

The Adelaide Classic Rally is on November 21-25 this year. See: http://www.classicadelaide.com.au/ca07/index.asp
I haven't fully made up my mind whether to go or not. However, if I go, I think a cross-country drive from Sydney to Adelaide is be on the cards this year. Would be a change to drive rather than fly.
If anyone is interested in joining me we can start to work out a plan.

With such a build up i reckon i could schedule it in to just about everything
if we have use of a beachhouse it might just be a cheap trip as well
I'll put my name down for the moment.
