Australia is a big place, particularly when we had to drive from Adelaide to Sydney once. Driving from Perth to Sydney or driving from Broome to Sydney would be much worse though.

From any capital to any other capital is 700km plus. We are so far and wide apart, which is good.

Does that mean you avoided the Outback and hugged the coast?
At first, with my shitty knowledge of Australian geography, I assumed Perth was farther north so you would have had to have driven straight through the Outback. Am disappointed.

I've driven from Canberra to Sydney in about three hours ... which by your calculations is an average speed of 230 km/h
