I love the sound of a boxer engine, Subaru's specifically. So beefy.
I also love the sound that most V10's make, like a V8 on speed and steroids.

I really like the really deep rumble of the C6-R, it's amazing! On the other end of the spectrum you never forget the scream of F1 V-10s. I can't wait to hear the V-8s in person at Indy.

    Pagani Zonda 7.3.
And I don't mind the growl of an Aston Martin V12, either

    LOVELY!

A carbureted Columbo V12, a tuned BMW inline 6, a Kawasaki single from the 650 KLR, all very different yet wonderful sounding. Favorite, prob teh 12.

    THE sound

Ahh, Le Rendezvous, superb. Very dangerous and stupid, but some great driving and reactions, and what a sound

fore those of you who haven`t heard a lotus twink before, I can tell you that it has a special exhaust note for a four poter..
If you get the opportunity, listen when a Lotus Cortina drives by with pedal down it`s adictive

It's the induction noise of the twin barrel Weber's that make the TC special (IMHO)

And the smell of unburnt fuel! Yum.

Speaking of smells, I was at the BTCC launch today and one of the cars came in with its brakes (all but) on fire. A frying clutch is a delicately scented rose in comparison - I thought my eyes were going to fall out. Utterly horrid.

IMHO Fords 4.6 V8 is one of the best sounding production engines:
