I have to agree, it is a brilliant piece of design.

Well that's not exactly true. It was some Lamborghini engineers (Dallara, Wallace and Stanzani) working on a mid mounted V12 engine on a rolling chasis in their spare time. Everyone was left astounded in the 1965 Torino motorshow, when it was unveiled still as a chasis, but they thought it wasn't very practical. However in the Geneva motorshow a body designed by Marcello Gandini of Bertone was put on the chasis and that's were the legend began.

Is the purple car not an SV?
Distinguishable from the S or P400 by the shape of the lower front grill.
At the edges the S and 400 draw to a point but the SV is rounded as pictured.

It's #4808, which in 1981 was presented as a white bodykited SVJ Spyder in Geneva. Built in 1971, it was originally a yellow Miura S Coupe. The transformation started in 1979, and the unveiling in 1981 started rumours of limited production of the Miura Spyder, which never materialised. Finally In 1990 underwent its final transformation, where it lost the rear spoiler and it was painted silver.
