My Xbox 360 officially died today

Yep, thats right, another microsoft product has proven itself un-worthy. It has radomly shut off on me for the 3rd time today due to hardware failure!

Not to bummed though, it still works 95% of the time. But i called xbox support and they are gonna fix mine for free in only 13 days round trip.

mine was a launch 360 though, the current 360's on store shelves have the hardware bug fixed. and before you all start raving "PS3! PS3!" i have just one thing to say....its getting fixed for free, and...PS3! PS3!

I would get an Xbox 360...but I am getting a PC that'll prolly cost $1,000 if I get the custom one I am looking at, and Elderscrolls IV: Oblivion looks like crap on Xbox 360 and it looks amazing on PC

i played pgr3 at the cias and beat my friend with an f40 while he was using a mclaren f1 his excuse was that i got a car length head start...like it matters after 3 laps

is it arcade biased or does it attempt some simulation?
actually i don't really care if the sounds and visuals are brilliant, but simulation would be nice

sim's take too much tine to get used to the physics since each game has so many different elements..since i don't game much i stick to arcade style so i can beat them easily

Especially when I know this geek that can help me overclock my AMD 3500 to at least a FX53 once I get a $70 fan/heatsink combo. I just remembered my mobo supports a good variety of overclocking features. But first I'm gonna get a can of compressed air to clean some dust.

If X360's hardware's that good, then why didn't they make CoD2 look as nice as the PC version?

My 360 crashed once or twice, but nothing major (touch wood), but today i'm taking it round my nan's house and giving my uncles and good running through on PGR3. Hopefully my 360 will be ok (touch wood), Sad to hear about your werty, hope it comes back ok

No worries Werty.

I had the same problem with my Launch X360 (which was eventually sold), though mine never had the 95% chance issue.

I do have a new one though, and works much better.
