i was waiting on a moment, but the moment never came. all the billion other moments, were just slipping all away. i must have been tripping, we're just slipping all away. just ego tripping.
No, that was taken at the Niagara Falls Aviary. One of the largest indoor aviaries in the world. The main aviary section is 4 stories high and the birds all fly freely around you without nets or fences.Originally Posted by RacingManiac

Wow, when I went to Niagra I wanted to check that out. I got there in time for the fireworks and afterwards it was closed
I'll have to drive down to niagra again and check it out.
I hope its still there, I thought it was just a temporary thing last year?
I've had a big bird on me before, it HURTS
They have claws.
I dont know how they got those kids to smile in those photographs on that website hehe
update: Oh wait, You can see the first girls smiling (she's tough) but the other girls look like their in a bit of pain.

The aviary isn't temporary as far as I know. They've done too much inside for it to leave the building anytime soon. The birds with the girls are Lorikeets. They don't hurt at all. Both of my daughters had them on their arms without complaint. They have a separate enclosure within the main aviary for them and for $1 or $2 you can feed them some liquid from a small cup. As soon as they see someone with a cup they all come to sit on your head, arms, whatever. Just watch out for the other Lori's up high, they must eat/drink a lot cuz they crap/piss on anything below them.Originally Posted by Benjammer

Small but bite like hell.
Cool thanks for the info.
LOL oh man, I'll have to cover my camera with a plastic bag or something. I wouldn't want a shitty camera. (notice I dont seem too concerned if I myself get pooped on, well I'd probably be when it happens).
