Undescribable, rent one and you'll understand, that's what me and my bro did. It's too fast for 170hp.

Depends what you are willing to sacrifice?

The cons: If you can make do with 2 seats and a small trunk, it's a good daily driver. An '06 model is a bit roomier than my '03 but functionally it's still a small 2-seater that can get lost behind a SUV if you pull too close. I always stop lined-up with the left edge of the car, you never know when someone might feel the need to reverse!?? (it's happened ) You have to be a careful driver in how a motorcyclist is careful and aware of his surroundings.

The pluses: Gas mileage is reasonable and upkeep is cheaper than solid-liftered Hondas. (My old GS-R which enjoyed valve tapper adjustments every 15-20K miles, got to be bothersome and an added expense.) Fun, while others are enjoying music or a soft cushy seats you'll be enjoying the drive, even to the corner store.

Trade some practicality for some fun, it's your call.

well, right now about practicality my daily driver is a smart roadster... although i fear the mazda wont be as practical, since the rear boot in the smart is incredibly useful, i can slide full size posters 90x60cm in there with their 2mm clear acrylic covers (I´m a design student)

There are times that I wished I got a Mazda MX-5 instead.

I ended up getting a Saab 9-2X Aero (yes, I know it's a Subaru Impreza WRX wagon), but the deal was so great I went with it. I'm still extremely happy with it since it was such a great deal. It has a lot of utility, yet very fun to drive.
