well to me thats a pretty stupid comment...no offense, but if somebody is doing drugs...they obviously dont find anything wrong with it and therefore have justified it in their own head

dont tell me you can justify putting chemicals in your body that destroys brains cells and everything else....its not healthy, your impaired judment could kill you or someone else, etc etc etc....must I go on, I am very anti-drugs, anti-alcoholic's

To avoid confusion here, I didn't mean that a drug user needs to justify using something to themselves. Crackheads justify using crack to themselves, but it doesn't make it right.

What I mean is that should be able to do it if can justify their actions on a societal basis, without risking any potential harm to anyone but themselves. Just like going to a bar; if someone wants to go out and have a beer, play some pool, and catch a bus home, there's absolutely nothing wrong with that. If they want to have a few beers and drive home drunk, that's completely unjustifiable. The same goes for other substances. Mind you, many substances are completely unjustifiable (for various reasons) regardless of the user or "purpose".

I agree with EggNog - You should be allowed to do what you like, even if it is harmful - thats your decision to harm yourself. There are of course limits to civil freedoms, but again thats why some drugs are illegal - to prevent their use and abuse. the user seeks and uses the drugs has made a decision not to obey society's judgements, and has forfeited their rights.

if it affects others the situation is different, but because many of us live in democracies, we have the right and the privelage to make up our own minds on these issues.

I don't really see a point doing it at all, you should find something that gives you a sense of a "high" that you can do without doing drugs. Racing, working on cars, rock climbing, and some other things do it for me, there really isn't a need to go any further.

i play deffensive end, and i broke my block and smashed the QB. i got a high no drug can provide and i only hurt someone ELSES body not mine i felt invincible for the rest of the day.

Yeah I would love to have something I enjoy that much instead...we use drugs jusut to make it more fun. And it is.

You're not going to find many people who say you can't have fun without drugs, and you're joking yourself if you think it's impossible to have fun using them. Drugs are different to every person. Some people don't want to do 'em, some people do. Some drugs are very harmful, some are not. Keep in mind that every circumstance is different.

I'm generally safe with it and do everything within closed doors and away from others. I'm to bored with life to stay sober. Im usually locked up in my cage at home anyways.
