So i got a ride in an E-type

ok. a while ago i posted a thread about my friends dad buying and touching up a 1965 E-type roadster

well he finally finished it and i got a ride in it before any of his kids did. well i have to say one thing. it sounds ... incredible. and it shifts like a beast. he put in a 5 speed syncromesh transimission and it shifts really smooth. torque. my god it packs sh!tloads of it. and the V12 helps with that. and the looks you get when your in that car. feels great.

we were on an empty hunter mill road and he took off in 3rd gear, i was pushed way way back in my seat and the rear end slid out a little. then the turns felt great. there was a point where i thought he was crazy going into a turn that fast but it handeled through.

pictures will come whenever i get them

    It's a shame it's a V12. You have to try a 3.8 Series I. That's the faster and best sounding E-Type of all.
Money can't buy you friends, but you do get a better class of enemy.

    '65 E-Type with a V12? Jaguar didn't introduce the V12 engine in the E-Type until the Series 3 cars appeared in '71.

You are probably making the mistake that the kids in my shop class did when the teacher brought in his early jag, they mistook the DOHC as two banks of cylinders.
