Mercedes C220 CDI Faulty LED Display

Hi. I'd be grateful for anyones advice here.

I recently bought a 2000 model Mecedes C220 CDI Elegance. It seems to have a faulty LED display in the dashboard as I cant read the numbers for the car toatl mileage or the trip mileage. I can see the clock and the gear display. Does anyone know how to fix this? Can I do it myself or will I need to take it to a garage? Thanks.

If its just a blown light then you might be able to do it yourself, though since its a merc it won't be that simple.

yea i have a benz s500, when shit like that happends... u ususally have to take it to the benz dealer... and if its faulty and under warranty then give u a new dash led.... so thats all i could say.

LEDs are cheap and any mechanic would be able to fit one, but refitting the dash perfectly so it won't rattle is sometimes difficult.
