    What about a Punto 1.4 16v?

    But of those the Swift.

I'll take the Mini. However, the John Cooper S Works edition is even better.

yeh the John Cooper S works is amazing
I went to the main dealer of them in Worthing, UK, Cos my friend was thinking of getting one. The bloke at the garage opened the door to one and revved the engine, with the sound kit that is fitted its one incredible sound. PHHWWWOARRRRRR!!

The new one seems to be very good. And I know what mean about the sound of the Cooper S, I drive a normal one, but still makes quite a good noise, and when pushing you can hear the whine of the supercharger.

    No. Way.

The new Swift is much better than you'd ever think. Go for it.

Although, if you want to sell up soon, the Mini is one of the safest places to put your money since the ISA account was invented.

Fun + laughs + not caring about the future- Swift.

Rock-solid depreciation + poofter credentials- Mini.

What I don't understand are the mileage figures. I know the Imperial gallon is slightly bigger but these numbers are huge, much more Ginormous than representing the bigger gallon. the 1.6 Mini (sans SC) sold in the US gets 28 city/36 hwy...

The Swift is a good choice if you are going to put a ton of miles and generally beat the car up and then trade. The Mini is the better choice if you're buying this little Bimmer for keeps. Just picture which one would you rather have parked in your garage eigth years from now?

    I picked Mini.

It's hardly possible for any driver here in high school too.

The Cooper S starts at $21,000.
    Sport Package=extra $1,400
    John Cooper Works Package=extra $6,300.

You can get the Sport and JCW together, but it's still high no matter what.

    As for JCW GP Kit....$31,150.

MOTOR tested a JCW, nearly fully specced up, $73k AUD, which is more than a 350Z, HSV or FPV, EVO or STi
