That to me looks like the spiritual successor to the Renault 5 Turbo...

    See what I mean?!

Clivey, I remember the M3-engined Minis- I saw one with the quad exhausts

And Tom- sweet ride. I love the new Swift.

Do you have any pictures? I can't find any that arent race cars right now...I have seen a few of road cars with the M3 conversion, they're awesome.

I'll browse through my back issues of Autocar... but I have a sneaking suspicion I threw it out

    I'll see, though.

Cheers man, oh and on a completely seperate topic...did I see the next Mondeo spy shots in Autocar or Auto Express? I'm currently in the process of designing a new one myself because I feel that Ford's designers have gone off the boil. They should have continued what the original Focus started.

Not the foggiest idea- not in this week's Autocar... they've got the Z4 M Coupé

And a very gritty National Rail ad...

I thought the Mondeo that they designed had gullwing doors, are you developing a cross between the Tardis, DeLorean and Batmobile?!

Mine's going to look nothing like the Iosis concept, that's for sure. The Iosis is a Mazda in disguise. I've got the front grille from a Ford Anglia going on here lol. My design's inspired by the BMW X Coupe and it's got ASS, like a cross between a Mk1 Focus and a new Megane!

(It'll all make sense when I scan in some drawings)

    Yes because it now doesn't...

    Anglia + BMW X Coupe + Focus Mk I + Megane =

    Yay for you.
    And welcome to ucp.

I'd recomend making your own thread than reviving some one elses old thread.

    Congrats on the swift!

Here in America we don't really care for small cars because we've all got our heads stuffed up our asses. Our definition of "small car" was filled by the spectacularly awful Chevrolet Cavalier that actually handled worse than a Chevy pickup truck in every measurable area. We do have the Nissan Yaris being imported now, but I've not heard anything about them.

And I actually saw a Ford Ka on the interstate north of Little Rock Arkansas and screamed Wow! Look At That! to my co-worker, who was deeply confused by my fastination with a little car that could barely be seen alongside our beat-to-shit work truck.

Going with what works isn't a bad idea though.
