New Toy - Sigma EF500DG Super

Got this bad boy on Monday. $500AUD, bought by my dad on his company Amex as payment for some work I did. I'm still learning how to use it, and as such I don't really have many shots to show. But definately miles better than the old built in flash. Ignore the focus on the first shot, that was my bad, Still looks cool though.

A good flash is a great investment. Most people underestimate the importance of a good flash. Congrats.

wow...thats alot for a flash, a nikon SB-800 is only $350 and thats the top of the line one

when i first saw it i though you meant a 500mm prime lens, but i suppose this is equally exciting

If you would've read his post carefully, you would've seen that it costs 500 Australian $. Which is 379,50 USD. And it's more powerfull than the SB800.

Basically Sigma make this for all the major SLR brands, so mine is P-TTL and you can get EO-TTL, whatever the hell the Nikon one is called, MA-TTL etc. It has some serious punch, guide number is 50

    Body: Pentax *ist DS
Lenses: Sigma 28-70mm f2.8 EX Dual Focus (that's the one in the shot), Sigma 70-300mm f3-5.6 Macro Super, Sigma 18-50mm f3.5-5.6 DC, Pentax SMC-A 50mm f1.7

It's all contained in a Lowepro EX180 bag.

Eh. Zoom ring is so stiff. Pic quality is fine, but the zoom ring just spoils it. I'm gonna get rid of it and get a Pentax DA 50-200, unless I find a good 200 or 300mm prime or FA 80-320
