its sort of a race between two modern sports cars, and the honda does the whole modern thing much better in my opinion.
the honda may be faster conering but on a track with longer straights the ferrari would own

what's this got to do with anything, he wasnt even the one driving the nsx-r in the race i was referring toOriginally Posted by kingofthering

The F430 isn't on the list but I'm thinking it'll be close to the F360 CS' time..
F360 ranked 11th and the NSX-R 46th.
I would have thought the NSX Type-R would have been faster than RX, Z, and M3 but there you go.

Maybe someone could find some N'ring numbers...NSX vs Ferrari

motegi has some pretty long straits man ...Originally Posted by jump15vc

the nsx-r was in the wet man, thats a pretty huge differenceOriginally Posted by PerfAdv
the n'ring figures for the nsx-r and 360cs are identical
Id take the F430. The nsx-r is really good, but i feel the f430 tops it in just to many areas. (style, interior, sound, technology)
especially if the 360cs and the nsx-r times are identical since the f360cs and the f430 have the same power to weight ratio, but the f430 w/ updated suspension and other technologies is most likely faster.
You can call me scott.
power to weight ratio doesnt say everything
tho in the absence of other info it is a good rough estimate, but that's all it is a rough estimate
since it tells you nothing about the torque and power curves of each engine, the tranny ratios and what not

That is impressive, especially considering the NSX's power deficit. I was expecting it to be maybe even a little slower than the regular Modena, but it slots neatly between the 360 variants.Originally Posted by Niko_Fx

Niko, did you get those lap times off Sport auto and Best Motoring websites?

It's the NSX R for me also. It shows how well Honda engineered it back then. It's over a decade old and only minor modifications keep it competitive with the best of today's machines.
sadly ive never had the pleasure of driving or even sitting in an nsx ... just had to admire it from the outsideOriginally Posted by Matra et Alpine
n since they've cut production it seems that the nsx will be outta reach, oh well dreams cant be attained easily i guess, just gotta work then find and restore an older one
