The Mercury is the best looking of the 3, I don't like Olds much but I think I would take the Chrysler.

typically midsize rental cars from a number of years ago. If I had to choose I would probably take the Chrysler, but in 2001 I was using a Pontiac Grand Prix...

This is the first comparo I've actually thought about in a long time, I'm quite ashamed

I'd take the Chrysler... it's a much nicer car than the others. For Mercury Sable, read more expensive Taurus

I'v driven all 3 and I'd go with the chrysler also. It is however somewhat of a tank to drive because its so long. It gets a 0 on the headroom scale though

I actually voted for the Olds, but it earns its points in value if nowhere else. In the states, these cars were going for under 10K new after Oldmobile was cut from the GM line.

Otherwise, the Chrysler was a pretty car. When the Concorde, LHS and the Intrepid all came out at the same time, it caused a small stir. They were all fairly pretty looking. Saw one for sale the other day for linke 1500 bucks. Made me look.

As a rental, I'd ask for the Olds. I've driven a Dodge Intrepid and hated how the A-pillar comes diagonally for the B-pillar, hit my head a couple of times getting in. I suspect the same in the LHS. The Sable would be #2. I wouldn't buy any as these aren't really great cars...
