I guess they can't afford F-segment cars and as a result streched E-segment cars are a cheaper alternative to get F-segment-like presence/space.

No. Those from mountainous regions of China are exceptionally tall (it's common for men to reach 7-feet tall), the world's tallest man is also Chinese.

In China, tradition and values mean that "luxury" is percieved to be sort of like "being waited on", so the older generation with money tend to prefer to be driven by chauffeurs (hence the LWB "Limousines"), rahte than drive themselves.
