    Wash/wax

so we've been cheating and going to Mr.Wash to have people who dont care about our car wash it. its been scratched and payed for and repaired. it has now come time to select a wash. something that you put in a bucket with water. then a wax. detailing stuff will go to armor all. but what are some suggestions. perferably available at Auto zone

    thanks,

I use meguiars 3 step usually(7 bucks for each step/bottle) for the waxing part, I go to the carwash and do it with the sprayer to clean it. For long lasting wax I use griot's garage products.

I tried the turtle wax Ice stuff the other day, and it worked damn good. And you dont have to worry about making a mess on the plastic trim. Too bad its like 12 bucks a bottle

The way my dad does his cars for 20 years now

    1) Spray it with cold water
    2) Wash it with medium hot water with some specialists wax(no-name) he gets from a shp here
    3) Dry it off by hand
    4) Now he washes with hot water and the smae stuff.
    5) He lets it dry for 5 minutes then he dries it again by hand.
    6) He then uses Turtle Wax to get it really shining
    7) he uses specialists cockpitspray to clean that in a few steps.
    9) he sprays his tires with water
    10) he sprays his tires with black paint(dealer trick to make them look brand new).
    11) Then he uses a gardening tool(water beam swaying from side to side) to clean the underside of his car with a mixture of wax and water.

The result is a superb shining car and half a day gone

This is what i use on my blazer, and it looks amazing for its shape and age.

Use Meguiars car soap. Get a big bottle, you can't ever have enough.
Wash your car with it. Use a wash mitten. Clean the wheels with it too.
Get some Wamo, its a pretty strong cleaner. Clean your tires with it, if you have white walls, or white lettering they will look new. Dont get it on your paint!!
Use Meguiars Hot Wheels Chrome wheel cleaner on your wheels. Spray off the rims. This shit works great. If you have gunk, get a small wire brush, and lightly scrape any usless shit off.
Get some kind of tire dressing. Wet n' Protect is great and pretty in expensive.
If you have the wash done right you should be able to dry your car with out it drying its self. For this i recommend a ABSORBER. Its like a towl that dries your car SPOT FREE. its pretty cheap and works like a charm.

You should be able to pick this stuff up at walmart, target, auto zone, ect.

Hope you can use some of this.
