Bugatti Veyron, it's just a engineering triumph in automotive, but if I was going lightweight, I would take the Exige and the upcoming Caparo, demonstration of what you can do with lesser and lighter materials.
Oh yea and Porsche GT3 for the amazingness everybody knows and the NSX-R for the 15 years of success with power restriction law in Japanese production cars.

I think the Jaguar XK8 and R have a timeless design, same with the Maserati Coupe, but neither of those are really new. Yea I'm not seeing anything inspirational these days, everything looks so futuristic and edgy.
