What size spare can you fit in the back? I have seen a full size 17" 43 cm (not including the tire) but could it fit an 18" 46 cm wheel? I have been looking at some for the future (not any time soon) but need a full size spare for long distance journeys (since you always seem to get a hole through your tire on US highways).

You can fit any tire as long as you don't mind it encroaching onto luggage space.

Thats great but the luggage space is needed as well. More specifically what size of wheel will fit into the spare tire compartment?
