pic of other ponys in the stable... total cars are:
    550 Ferrari
    360 CS Ferrari
    Murcielago
    Vette 2001 (not a z06)
DB9 (in shop, rear speakers cut in and out)
    Viper SRT10

I only know what FOA told me and I COULD NOT get an F1. My 360CS is an F1(all 360 CS were) and even though I wanted one It could not be had this year.

    ^^ I know.

I hope you haven't taken offence at my scepticism, I'm sure you can appreciate that there's plenty of people coming on here claiming they have a dream garage. You obviously really do... which begs the question, why are you in front of your computer when your garage looks like that?!

For the record, it's the CS I'm fiendishly jealous of, what interior did you go for: leather and three point or Alcantara and harnesses?

My girlfriend broke her leg and I am the nurse maid for the day. Not much fun but comes with the turf.

I went hard core. Alcantara and harnesses no radio, no extra weight.

Good man! In my heart I'd want one with the plastic windows, but I've heard they're noisy as a bastard!

I count myself lucky to have driven a few really top-notch cars, I just wish I was willing to work as hard as you obviously had to to actually own them. Nice to see you obviously use them too.

Also, just a tip, if you want to add something to your post, there's an edit button a the bottom.

GGamble, I personally found the manual Merci easier to drive smoothly than the e-gear car. This may have been an early e-gear, or just my driving style.

Yes, The 1st hill start I did in the manual you could smell clutch (opps) but I quicly picked it up.

I love how much the car seems to shrink around you as you press the loud pedal - but it is a pita in small streets and through roundabouts.

Is the DB9 Mercury or Tungsten? Great collection.

Not sure about the noise. The plastic windows did not come stock on US models. They could be added by the owner afterwards. Also, launch control (LC) was disabled in the us cars. I had a German ECU fitted which enabled the LC but using it is very hard on the clutch.

I think plastic windows were an option on EU cars, part of the stripped down version.

When I used LC in the F430 it didn't seem nearly as explosive or F1 ish as I had hoped. Although it was damp, I was hoping to be able to floor the throttle and let the car do the work not 'hold the engine at 5000rpm' before releasing the paddle. I like it one or the other, total launch control or stick and pedal.

Also, it's a bit ostentacious to use on the street, but I'd like to try it in the dry. I've heard the Enzo's clutch is only good for 3 LC starts!

The split on the 9s interiours is great, not as easy to spec a V8 in the same way (Metorite on the way).

Best car collection? I think he's the only that could be called a collection.

But I think Napolis will give him a run for his money with his one-of-a-kind Ferrari P4/5.
