More importantly than the near identical figures, the SRT-10 packs the viper v-10 engine. Plus, its a BEAST!!!!

Dodge Rocks! Similar 0-60 times, but Higher top speed. Too bad they couldn't lighten it up a bit to widen the gap a bit. I'd also like to know their respective quarter mile times. P.S. How did you get the specs on the SRT-10? I didn't think there were any official road tests yet.

    Add a poll.

These two beasts are furiously fast and quick off the line, but out of the two, I'd definitely have to take the SRT-10. The viper engine (500hp, 525 tq ), the styling, the agressive body lines, they all just add up to an unbeatable awesome "truck," if that's what you want to call it.

The Ford, on the other hand, actually isn't as fast as the Ram SRT-10, or so I've heard. I dislike its styling compared to the SRT-10s, as it seems a little bland. To me, it comes a close second.

no question the dodge srt 10. a man among a boy in that comparison, not that i wouldnt take the ford if it were offered to me. i loved the concept model for the srt10 but dont particularly like the little spoiler wing they put on the back of it. anybody else have a similar gripe or am i the only one? all for now

gotta take the dodge, its more of a mans truck compared to the lightning. its taller and from the front he dodge looks meaner, with its big wheels and a v-10 theres no comp. id take both over a silverado ss

    slightly off-topic

I know the SRT 10 doesn't have a hemi, but the Viper engine has respect too. I saw a guy in a brand new Ford F150 deluxe version and was tempted to ask him "That thing got a Hemi?" Wisdom prevailed and I kept my mouth shut.

I think a Dakota SRT 10 would be awesome! It would widen the gap in performance between the Lightning and the Dodge, and I think would be just as good looking. If not, then i hope they bring back the R/T and offer the Hemi option in the Dakota.

One question, is it true that the new 4.7L V8 in the Dakota performs better than the old 5.9L R/T? I heard that somewhere...
