It uses the Helmholtz theory which creates additional surge in the exhaust. There are countless dyno sheets on these showing more torque than with just a straight pipe. The downside is they cost more.Why the expansion chamber? Back in the paintball days it was called a "volumizer."

Sounds like magic. If you have x amount of force going into the exhaust, than you have a maximum of x amount coming out. Newton has been proved wrong?
