    997 Targa

New 997 Targa, available in 'S' or 'normal' trims in '4' only.

Still looks a bit weird.. the J-Lo of the car world:

Oh, hell yes. That's very nice.

Don't know what to think of the chrome arch yet, I think you gotta see it in person.

And ehhh, can someone explain why they aren't plugging a RW-drive?

Was there a 996 Targa _ ? I believe there was, I'm not sure at the moment though.

There was a 996 Targa, but apparently they won't be doing a 2WD version of the 997 Targa. Having said that, they said they wouldn't make a 997 Carrera 4!

    Don't like the Chrome strip.

    A very good question.

Perhaps for the truly indecisive "Oh god do I have the soft top or the coupe" person.

And having a giant glass roof to let in light and build up heat, but not let it out is better?

    ^ lol
the 996 version has a few rattles in the interior because of the roof, i don't really like any carrera targa's/soft tops

Personaly, I don't like it. In the original targa, you could remove the top of the roof without leaving behind those rails on the side. The 997 looks like it has a giant sun roof on it, not a targa top.

Yep...looks like a giant (not really giant...) sunroof. I think Porsche should make a hardtop cabriolet...

    Airconditioning?

I'm telling you, you don't want to drive an open car in extreme heat.

It looks good IMO, but I prefer the Carrera 2S.
