i hope he changes his mind and comes back.
i hope he changes his mind and comes back.
I'm dropping out to create a company that starts with motorcycles, then cars, and forty years later signs a legendary Brazilian driver who has a public and expensive feud with his French teammate.
no, he's gone because it turns out bestiality really is illegal in Scotland

I'm sorry to see him leave, he was known as one of the most...if not the most knowlegable (car and computer wise) and cultured (general culture) member of UCP. Plus a dedicated mod. When reading his posts, sometimes I didn't agree with him but then, who do you agree with all the time anyway??
The only (constructive) critizism I could make to Matra, would be not to get SO carried away during debates, that's all.
I hope he takes advantage of his time off from UCP and comes back eventualy.

Matra was quite the dude. Taught me more than anyone else on these forums. We were all his padwans, now BEG FOR FORGIVNESS GOD-F**CKING-DAMNIT! I really don't blame him for leaving (No offence to every other member on the forum).
Matra doesn't make unneccessary fuss about things, hence the lack of thread saying he's leaving. This thread is starting to sound like one huge funeral, and I've already input too much into it, so I'm going to be quiet and discuss cars.
He hasn't replied to any of my emails, the bastard.

To be honest, I think this subject of people who left is stinking already. I don't believe they done this to attract attention. Maybe they want to rethink their attitudes or so. Or maybe they blame us for that and want us to feel guilty. I don't, and I don't wish to force noone to stay. It's useless trying to find a responsable, or a special reason, why someone is gone. There are 3.692members here, wich I think constitutes a good sample of what a society or a young community is. If someone can blame a group of almost 4000 persons for the problems he/she finds in communicating, then he/she needs to rethink his acts. So the away time understandable.
I would like this long-time members to come back. But that's not my choice. Honestly, even if we lost another 3 or 4 good members the forums would still feel more or less the same, and you guys would still be having fun. So lets concentrate on the good part, because we're here to enjoy.

I think MetA made the forum a little bit more lively than it is now, although it was really hell when you got into an argument with him. It was actually funny see other people dig their holes as they got deeper into the discussion. It was like watching a train wreck in slow motion... maybe a little morbid, but entertaining none the less.
He's gone and we can we do nothing, so life goes on... I really hope he comes back, but after a typing lesson, because it was really hard to read him most of the time!
