Any car with the Shelby name will be worth a lot more in the future than almost any other Ford. Plus IMO it's a far better looking car than the Cobra R.

The Shelby is gonna be sold here in Mexico, they've anounced the price at near $100,000.00 USD here. I don't know what the price is gonna be in the US, but I bet it's gonna be more expensive here.

I think the Cobra R was ford's own attempt at ricing a mustang but the only difference was that it wasn't rice, it was actually powerful. With that said I would go with the GT500, it just seems more refined.

I go with the Shelby GT 500, better looking, more power and brings you to an era when too much horsepower was never enough...

A car that they put Shelbys name on is not gonna be worth more then a limited production track monster. There were only 300 Cobra R's made the GT500 will have more then 8k a year!

I'd probably go with the Cobra R performance wise and bets on the track against a GT500, but the GT500 is still a bad-ass car. Just needs better tires than the stockers they use.
