Lack of charisma can be fatal.

vs those of us who like to scare passengers by hitting the perfect line and getting a FWD car to kick the ass end out.

You want scary... one of my friends who owns a built '72 340 Duster started going sideways twice while running down a 1/4 mile track.Originally Posted by Quiggs

That's awesome.
But it also further proves- American cars don't handle... Even in straight lines.

Actually, it has nothing to do with handling; it just shows the incredible torque that the engine was making. If the car slid off a curve at a low speed, then you could say it's the handling, but it was on a drag strip.Originally Posted by Quiggs
The problem, however, has since been fixed. It was the tires... the owner changed to stickier tires.

Uh-oh... I guess that proves that FWD cars don't handle... even in a straight line.Originally Posted by Quiggs

Perhaps I got into this late but I have seen some new police cars (Dodge Chargers with Hemis) replacing these crappy crown vics. Anyone else seen this?
I posted in this one somewhere that the pigs here had tried out the Hemi Chargers, but decided to stay with the Crown Vics for a myriad of reasons including, but not limited to, worries over liability and fuel economy.Originally Posted by MRR

Approximately 79% of statistics are made up.
Thre are some Chargers in my area. Probably replaced the aging Camaro Z28/Mustangs from the early 90's. I hate to throw my hat in the ring here, but here's a look at a modded CV. Don't know anything about numbers.
At least it looks like having twin turbos...

so i was thinking something related to police, and then this post came up on my mind. so i decided to resurrect it and see if there are anymore comments/ discussions that can be continued from here
hey guy's new to the forum and saw some question about up about way would you upgrade a Crown Vic. i did it because the wife said i need a family car and a daily driver. lol so i sold my 1969 nova and got the Crown Vic. Nova ran 11.8 1/4 at 117. the Crown Vic after some mods made 530RWHP and ran best of 11.3 1/4 @119 Supercharged. here are some pic S/C'ed.
