because he was defending his position?

The issue with Schumacher was not so much that he cut the chicane. The issue IMO was that he paused to let Pedro past but then shut the door in a very dangerous manner.

I do still think it was all a bit naive from him though because the chances of him holding on to the position for 10 more laps were minimal at best. If it was the last race of the season and he desperately needed 6 points to win the title then I could understand him fighting tooth and nail and risking everything, but with Alonso already off the track he could've cruised home to 4th or 5th place and comfortably taken a sizeable lump out of Alonso's lead. As it was he needlessly gambled and lost. It was an open goal for some easy points and he missed. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kiVq5-u7MH0

It takes a lot of attrition, mistakes and machanical failures to get Jens on the podium, yeah...he's great.

...and MSC received one point for not completing the race (rules says that the driver must complete at last 90% of race distance to be classified).

He did but he completed smaller distance than MSC... Same with Albers, Speed and Sato.

If he did he still would've completed less race laps than Schumacher probably.

That really is a cruel blow for Kubica. Although he didn't exactly drive a wonderful race with a couple of silly spins, he was still pretty quick when he wasn't facing backwards. On the British TV coverage we had the pleasure of Ant Davidson of Honda commentating and he was saying that as far as he knew Kubica had never done any wet testing. So to make it into the points in your first race and your first ever time in the car in the wet was a pretty good achievment. Sadly it looks like he'll be the one punished for a miscalculation by his team.

You REALLY need to be quiet. He finished in 1st. Nuff said.

Why can't you be happy for a guy getting a much needed win?
