Just one question- where in real, day-to-day life would you get an opportunity to use that speed?
And birdman, it's $499,273.70

I have a currency converter at the touch of a button. If you check the exchange rate on Google, then you can work it out.Originally Posted by Birdman002

I know you won't be able to do that speeds like it's nothing, but still, why would you?Originally Posted by IWantAnAudiRS6
Never drove a car like that, but like, the cars with the limiters on 155mph? (250kph) are quite easy to get to their limiters, so it might be easier then you think. Offcourse, not when there's traffic on the road.
The final few mph/kmh are always the hardest to get. A combination of friction, air resistance and the car's engine running out of puff. A Corvette ZR1 from the early '90s can hit a theoretical 288mph, but in real life it translates into 186mph.Originally Posted by CAS
Yeah, the last bits are difficult, but when a car can go 300kph and it's limited to 250 it's not that hard to do such speeds on the highway. For example, the Audi Le Mans Quattro (R8?) can go 345km/h, it reaches 200 in 9,9s? or just above 10s so going 250kph really isn't that hard. Offcourse that a big difference with 300kph or faster, but then, why do you need such speed? I mean, it's only something you can say at the dining table in the restaurant... And then everybody can be amased.Originally Posted by IWantAnAudiRS6
And just to know your luxury sedan can reach such speed, is something to be proud of.
On your exemple, of the Corvette, that's an american car... Amaricans don't do gearboxes. They probably still sell 4speeds.
I read the other day that VW engineers reckon they'd need 2,000 bhp to get their Veyron up to 275mph. I believe that the air resistance increases exponentially with speed.Originally Posted by IWantAnAudiRS6
But I also believe in the loch ness monster, so what do I know.
Also, Audi Man, what do you suppose that extra .70 buys you?
