A 4WD car made for drifting. I don't think so.Originally Posted by lordofDskyline

Mostly I agree, but I have seen STi's drifting in D1 and the like I think. Someone please correct me if I'm wrong.Originally Posted by 6'bore

Oh, ok thanks.
can't you make any car drift (slide) by messing around with the settings of the car?

You could probably make a 4WD car "drift" by shifting the power that goes to the front wheels to the back, effectivley making it RWD.Originally Posted by Peroen
In my mind you can only get a 4WD car sideways, you cannot drift one.

I've been in a subaru wrx that was drifting/sliding around a track. It's possible.

Slightly Offtopic, but there was a video going around of a WRX converted to RWD drifting around a road in Austrailia. It eventually smacked a tree. Oh i would kill to see that video again.
you can drift AWD, the technique is the same as RWD basically, you just hold the handbrake for longer, pendulum out, let go of handbrake, swing back into the corner till you hit the angle that the exit of the corner is, and plant your foot and counter steer.. if anyone wants proof, i will show them on tsukuba circut, i have many vids of me doing it in forza motorsport in any kind of AWD car you can name. (thats in the game )

you can drift an AWD car, but it all depends on the differential settings

channel as much power to the rear as you can under the differential setting, highten rear tyre pressure, but a front biased brake system in, and the use the above technique, drifting made easy

you can't change tire pressure in GT4 though....a flaw of the setup system I might add...
