Not good at all, thankfully the drivers alright, sorry to hear about the car. When will these guys realise the race isnt won at the first corner or was it just one of those racing incidents. Never good when you have to reshell a car.

heres some pics of a mates car after it was run over at Oran Park, a couple of SA guys went over there in 2005 and were well and truley roughed up by the NSW racers

Pic of the damage, note tyre marks

heres a vid of the racing incident, click on the crash video

    On behalf of ballast I would just like to thank our sponsors;
    Rokem Transport
    and also
    Hondarec
for their help and assistance throughout season '06. Although we didn't get the results we had aimed for, without you it would have been a
    very quiet year.
Your assistance after Round 5 helped in turning around what looked like a season ending incident, that it didn't it thanks to you.
We had a hell of a lot more fun than the guys who were hanging on the fence just watching.
    Here's hoping '07 is better.

I feel your pain Ballast, the cost of racing especially when there is body/engine damage certainly eats into the racing budget. Rob my nephew who had the shunt at the last round, has had to sell his 2 pristine condition ke20 and 25 road cars to fund the new paint, engine chassis development over the off season and to fund a few rounds next year. The costs certainly add up, luckily through my brothers auto electric business, we have a few good sponsors but even with them its certainly a expensive hobby.

Hope you get out for a few rounds next year.

    Cheers

A bit of Xmas cheer and a break from things and things will seem different come Jan '07
John we have a DVD of the August round at Morgan Park as shown on local station Briz31. If you are interested pm me your postal address and I'll get ballast to copy it, and possibly add some of the incar stuff as well. The DVD also has some other stuff on it like Geminis, HQs and stuff.
    Cheers

the honda's fine other than the usual end of season rebiuld, but the cost of that and the fact that my loving and beautiful wife comes home last nite and drop's a bomb on me (what does it mean when the oil light comes on )
i'll tell you what it mean's it mean's you havent checked the oil in 8 week's and the 95000 km old ford laser engine is sounding more like a tractor than a sweet little thing that it sould be so there goes the budget for xmas rebiuld (you don't want to know what i realy said)
i'm sure someone up there hates me

My wife did that with our boat last year, some muck blocked the raw water inlet and instead of coming back, she kept towing the kids behind the boat.
The water temp was 120c thankfully no real damage, just means I will have ti give it a freshen up sooner than later
P.S My wife is blonde, so she cant rally be blamed for brain fade

Lift your head up ,son, another year is another year. Just remember how hard some people worked to get you on the track last weekend. It may look black at the moment, but you never know how the future will turn out. Your are never beaten til they nail the lid down. I havn't heard the fat lady sing yet, so it's not over!

Mate we don't , but the NSW IPRA blokes do, and also at Oran Park. Improved Production is bloody huge in NSW, they have grids big enough to run over and under 2 litre class races. A couple of posts back charged
had a link to Chapparal Racing, who are heavily involved with IP down there.
I leave the remarks about women to others, 20 years of marriage has definately taught me to keep my mouth well and truly shut on such matters!

NSW has massive feilds, fantastic variety too ranging from GTR's to starlets.

I personally think the U2L feilds in NSW are great, they have some real quality cars.

heres a Vid of a the top 2 unders cars escortand a mighty starlet having a ding dong battle at Wakefield park
