The Xti doesnt start delivery until christmas time, and theres no way its $400 less, the body only D80 is $900 and the body only XTi is $800. You're probably comparing two different packages.

so really for two comperable SLR's (Nikon having a few more things, and two dials) and two comperable lenses (although the Canon has IS) you come out about the same... $1,300 or so
