    There's something about the light line on the front of the alleged GTO that doesn't add up.

    Also, what kind of GTO replica wouldn't have the three signature half-moon vents in the nose?

    A few SWB chassis were bought up by racing teams trying to cash in on the GTO's success by copying the engineering. (Breadvan, anyone?)

    There's every chance that we're looking at a Datsun Z in new clothes, but don't most Z conversions keep the doors of the donor Z?

    I'd say the jury's still out, but the GTO engine had six twin-choke webbers. This has three. Who knows.

    that however is not the car shown in the first post of this thread. Those were conversion made more or less on new chassis (like the Breadvan) to improve aerodynamics. The fact that Drogo may have been responsible for the GTO shown does not make it any less of a recreation....(or replica)
