    Car Cell Phone

well my cousin sent me this e-mail, it was pretty intersting about cell phones. now im not sure if this works and i wanna try but let me see hat u guys think before i make a fool out of myself

Subject: Have you locked your keys in the car? Does you car have remote keys?*

    >This may come in handy someday. Good reason to own a cell phone:
    >If you lock your keys in the car and the spare keys are at home, call
    >someone at home on their cell phone from your cell phone.
    >Hold your cell phone about a foot from your car door and have the person
    >at your home press the unlock button, holding it near the mobile phone on
    >their end. Your car will unlock. Saves someone from having to drive your
    >keys to you. Distance is no object. You could be hundreds of miles away,
    >and if you can reach someone who has the other "remote" for your car, you
    >can unlock the doors (or the trunk).
    >Editor's Note: *It works fine! We tried it out and it unlocked our car
    >over a cell phone!"*

I'll try, but the t-reg unlocks from miles away anyway, and you can't lock them in the car, because if it senses the keys on you it unlocks for you.

hmmmm... sounds interesting. But i doubt it.

Does this work for the older cars with no power locks or all types of locks?

No, because non-power locks don't have remotes and therefore can't be unlocked remotely.
i was waiting on a moment, but the moment never came. all the billion other moments, were just slipping all away. i must have been tripping, we're just slipping all away. just ego tripping.

I don't think it could technically work. I doubt a mobile phone would pick up RF signals from a key, and even if they did, would they transmit them? I doubt it. AND how can a speaker send RF signals?

If you had a cell phone with a very high quality speaker I wouldn't be surprised if it worked.

I don't think the speakers are involved. I think its more like the radio signal of the remote keys are amplified by the cell phone and picked up by the other cell phone. I personally though don't believe it would work.
