I'm looking for ones that would have been taken during that time. Most websites only have tiny pictures of this stuff so I thought here would be good for large or high quality pictures from that time
I think he is looking for contemporary pictures. Not current pics from cars from that period. That would either mean that older photographers open up their archives, or that a massive scanning and pirating may take place,Originally Posted by McReis

I see what you mean. Well, contemporary pics in decent sizes are a bit hard to find.Originally Posted by henk4

Thanks, newer pics are okay as long as they are of the car racing and not just closeups of engine, exhaust and such. thanks
The reason I want the older pictures is because they show the cars actually racing with other cars and they show the tracks and scenery which either don't exist or are very different today
Then you must definitely spend some time through UltimateCarPage's main page reports of all the classic events of recent years. There are thousands of great pictures from events like Monaco Historic GP, Le Mans Classics and similar events.
Be welcome to UCP, btw. I'm sure you will become a regular "costumer" since you have good taste. Classics are the real thing.
PS:Please fill up your profile or at least your location. Thanks

I'll take a look around the main page.
I really am looking for pics of the CanAm, Group C, DRM, IMSA GT. Those cars are nuts, especially the porsche 956/962 or the crazy 935 variants. I wasn't even born yet so I never would never have got to see them actually racing.
I filled out the profile thingy
There are lots of Can Am cars on the reports too! You'll love them!
All the Porsches too. Just spend sometime searching and you'll find lots of goodies.

You can try http://www.racingsportscars.com, though that might reduce the attention you might pay to UCP...
