    Alfa Romeo 8C Competizione (Progetto 920) 2007-2009

Now that it's been confirmed to be produced, some minor details have been changed. Thankfully for the enthusiasts of the concept, almost nothing has been touched to alter the original look of the show car, giving it the modern retro look everyone is craving after.

Pics are only 1024x768, larger will be posted the second I find them.

It's beautiful! But one thing puzzles me - if it is the final version, then the hood will open like in F40, am I right? It's nice but might be a bit expensive if you fail to drive over a kerb or speedbump Same thing with sideskirts.

Any idea how many of these beasts they plan on making (I assume they will have a yearly quota)

Just 500 in total. It is utterly gorgeous... the first new, modern (not 'retro-inspired'), traditionally beautiful car in years.

Agreed. It's definately sporting some classic Italian lines.

    Beautiful!

So this is the finalized production version? When is it going to be on the road?

Well, I would argue that it is "retro-inspired", but it is only that - inspiration; they aren't trying to "recreate" something.

Are they making the Spider version too, or is the 500 only GTs?

Very impressed by the Spider at GFOS, probably the best looking "new" car in the Supercar Paddock, alongside the Saab Aero X, but seeing as those idiots at GM won't put that into production...
    Thanks for all the fish

500 Coupes and 500 Spiders apparently, with chances of more cars being made if demand is high enough.

Apparently there were up to 3000 deposits made IIRC when the car was first anounced that it could end up being made.
