Can't HotSync my Treo

For some reason my Treo 650 won't HotSync with my PC and I can't figure out why?

Here is what I normanly do:

Plug in the HotSync wire into the Treo and then to the PC via it's USB slots. Open MS the Palm Destop Software, and press the HotSync icon and bingo.

Now all I get is a message saying there isn't a connection between the Treo and PC. I've checked the configuration on the Treo and it's fine. Any ideas?

restart computer (fixes 90% of my problems)

if that doesnt work, check to make sure that the USB is lighting up saying it's connected.

that should fix it, if not, take it into the store i gues.s..

Lighting up? Like the USB flash memory sticks do? The USB cable that comes with the Treo doesn't have a light to indicate it's connected.

the USB port i mean? mine is a little box with 4 USB slots, and when you plug in a cord it lights up green?

thats a hub, he is probably just plugging it straight into the back of his PC where there are no lights

umm, did you press the button on the hot sync cable.. on the jack that plugs into the phone? thats how mine works.. i dont even need to do anything on the phone, just the cable.

Yes, I have done that. I can't figure out what's wrong.
