Yes, I did do a search to see if this had been posted. (This was mentioned in another thread, but with no pictures)

I won't say anything, everyone here should know what this is.

Plus we can all laugh at the 350+ guests currently viewing these forums who can't see the pictures. (Just join already! It's awesome!) 10 points to any guest who joins and posts here

That's a bit nice. If I also had a 911 GT1 in my garage I'd have mine in white, but generally I don't like white. Would be in silver otherwise.

So... what's the upper air intake for? The regular engine air intakes are still there.

Roof-mounted intakes typically feed an airbox. Alternatively it could just simply be for extra cooling. Either way I would recon more cooling and better air would be essential considering the engine was already a bit of a brute before any tinkering.

Edit: On second glance, it appears they've got rid of the mesh engine cover. Taking this into consideration, it's probably more likely the roof intake is for cooling.

    What took them so long?

On the other hand: it was worth the waiting

And they've made a scale wind-tunnel too, just for the photo?

It's NOT a model. It has been wind-tunneled as the caption says. End of story.
