The attack to the madrid train station (Atocha) was on 3/11/04. It seems not terrorist related though...

Oddly enough, the first time I heard that a plane had crashed into a skyscraper in NY, I thought it was a light aircraft into any old building.
Now when I'm expecting a 747 sticking out of the Empire State it's only a
light aircraft crashing into some old building...
How long before North Korea is linked to the incident?
The BBC News 24 coverage is hilarious.
Obviously this story is "important" because it has "plane" + "crash" + "building" + "New York", so they feel they should give it rolling coverage, despite the fact there is no information
Rep 1: So, a plane, or helicopter - we don't know - has crashed into this apartment building in New York. We now go live to our correspondant at the scene:
Rep 2: Yes, a helicopter, or possibly a plane, has crashed into an apartment building, just behind me, here in New York. There are no reports of any injuries so far.
Rep 1: So as you heard just then; no injuries reported yet. We've just heard from the FBI that they aren't treating this as a terrorist attack - any details?
Rep 2: The only details we have are that the FBI aren't treating this as a terrorist attack...

Hmm.. The news coverage here is awful. Like Cov said, just because it contains that few words of plane crash nyc , it is all over the news channels.
Sad to hear 2 people "appear" to have died though.
EDIT : And that sticking Fighter jets over major cities.. what a bunch of girls.

APPARENTLY *cough* NY turns out to be a pretty big state. I didn't think it was funny, accidents happen. In fact this happened in Tampa 4 years ago, how many remember that? Its just a big deal because its NYC.
EDIT: Now they are saing that the plane was owned by a New York Yankee pitcher, Corey Lidle.
