This weekend sees the 2006 season finale at the Interlagos circuit in Sao Paolo. Going into the race both the Drivers' and Constructors' championship titles are still up for grabs. Fernando Alonso is hot favourite to take the WDC, it would take an extremely unfortunate set of circumstances for him to lose it from the position he is in. The WCC is a little harder to call. Renault lead Ferrari by 9 points, but that lead could easily be turned on its head with a strong showing from Ferrari and a slightly disappointing one from Renault.

This Grand Prix is a going to see a number of significant "Lasts"...

Last race of the season

Last race of Michael Schumacher's long and distinguished career

Last race for Michelin tyres for the forseeable future

Last race for Alonso at Renault

Last race for Raikkonen at McLaren

Last race for Webber at Williams

It could also see something of a significant "First" for the sport too, in that Fernando Alonso could end the weekend being the youngest ever double World Champion in history, just one year after becoming the youngest ever one-time Champ.
