My dad's 96 Dodge Caravan's engine belt is having problems. The belt keeps squeeking like mad. The Mechanics told us it's a belt problem, we've replaced it ×3 and it's worse now. Anyone know what or how to repair it?

Check for some sort of fluid leaking onto it. Are you replacing it yourselves? Ensure that you are tensioning it up fully when you do.
It may be the bearings are shot in a pulley. Does it only squeak when the A/C is on? Could also be the alternator, power steering, or anything else on the serpentine belt. The tension could be to much or two little which is causing a pulley to slip on the belt.
checked all of those...when accelerating, theres no sound, when decelerating or cruising or idle, massive sound. Pimento mentioned the bearings are loose?
My best guess would be the belt tensioners. When accelarating there is more force on the belt,so it runs fine. When you dont have full power/decelerating it doenst have and it slips. (have) checked the tensioners.
Sounds like what happemned when my Saab's harmonic ballancer let go.
No idea if you have the same set up but if so have it checked

No Mr. Craig, I expect you to die! On the inside. Of heartbreak. You emo bitch
Sounds like your idler pulley/tensioner is shot. I mentioned the bit abuot the bearings, when something seizes, such as a a/c unit, it'll squeel when the belt slips over the pully, but this doesn't sound like your case.Originally Posted by Gtek-i
sounds to me too like the belt tensioners, if it increases as you turn check the tensioners and powersteering
Once fanboyism infects you it impares all your judgement.
It's like being drunk, you lack common sense and everyone laughs at you.
After punching "96 Caravan belt squeal" in Google; it seems that your not the only one with the same problem. A majority of the solutions have been to replace the tensioner or the bearings (if its not one unit)

I think it's a mopar thing, my truck came with a squeal from the factory and it was the idler pulley.Originally Posted by baddabang
