I have to jump on the bandwagon here sadly - the 599 has the performance of a Ferrari - and an ungodly one at that - but the looks truly just don't cut it. A shame, considering it took me ages to warm up to the 575M to see it be replaced by a much worse looking car. If only it looked better, it would be one of the best cars ever. When I think of the styling of the gorgeous 355 and 360, as well as the gorgeous (though slightly flawed) F430, the 599 and 612 and Enzo puzzle and scare me. I think it is those horrible Enzo rear lights, and the 612's overall look that may be the downfall of the future Ferrari / Pinninfarina designs, especially the 599.

the 550 is fine design and so is the 456

IMHO, being a successor to the Maranellos, it'll do what they did by having limited editions of the car in Barchetta form near the end of its production.

However, I must say that the 599's rear end looks absolutely fantastic to me, those large - non-Enzo - circular rear lights remind me of the 355 and 360.

The Enzo's lights are a different kind of circular, apparently.

Uh, I was trying to say the dealie about the thing. That is, the Enzo and the F430's rear quad cylindrical lights are much smaller and not encased inside the framework of the car - they "jut out" and I think that really makes them look silly, wheras the fatter circular rears on the other Ferraris I think are more reserved and tact.

I think the major flaw in the F430 in particular are the rear lights - this being the only major point of concern visually for me about the car. I just think it would look better with something more like a 360's rear lights. Judge for yourselves though.

I think the rear of a car is often overlooked (for some good reason I suppose) but there is nothing better than a car to me that is gorgeous from every angle, and I truly think the 355 and 360 are 2 great examples of this due to the excellent execution of their "rear ends" - and in this instance, their rear lights, something which can often make or break the rear of a car.

Pictured from Left to Right are the Enzo, F430, 599, 360, 612, 355. (In whatever specific incantation of that particular model they may be.)
